And Basketball Season Is Here!

Much to my delight, A&M kicked off our fall basketball practices tonight with an event entitiled "Maroon Madness" that truly lived up to its name. The rapper Soulja Boy was present to "crank that" with players and fans. Here's an image from the dunk contest, I'll probably post a few more later.

Cowboys own first half; Aggies own second half

It was a good game, even if the Cowboys did lose.  And I got to shoot with a 400 f/2.8 for about five minutes, which is where I got probably 30% of my best shots from.  Probably about 70% of my best shots are of the Cowboys winning, which is good, because 30 years from now when I look back, I'll think we came out on top.

It was enjoyable shooting at Kyle field with a myriad of other Canon photogs.  I really want more Canon bodies and glass now, which is good, because I definitely don't have the money for them.

... a total of two points in two games.  Well, whatever.  I take solace in the fact that Zac Robinson is only a sophomore.  Sometime in the next two years, we'll beat the Aggies.  And it will be great.

Here are a couple of my faves from the game yesterday. I'm sure we'll see quite a few photos from this game.

Everyone got a good badgering from the Aggies Can before the game:
